In the grower’s words
Espostoa lanata is a slow-growing, columnar cactus. Its stems are densely covered with white, woolly hairs that partially conceal the spines arranged along the ribs. Mature plants can reach several metres in height and may develop side branches. Its flowers open at night and emerge from a woolly flowering zone near the upper part of the stem.
